New in Appear Hub: Find What You Need Faster and Access the Right Software With Confidence

Appear Hub Universal Search

Appear Hub was created to give customers one place to access the software, documentation, support and resources they need to get the most from their Appear systems. As our product portfolio grows, and as customers manage more platforms, releases and workflows, fast access to the right information becomes even more important.

That is why we are introducing two new Hub capabilities designed to make the customer experience simpler, faster and more transparent: Universal Search and customer-specific software access.

Together, these updates make Hub easier to navigate, improve self-service, and help customers find the exact information and software they need without relying on manual support processes.

Search everything in one place

Finding the right information should not mean searching across multiple pages, tools or content areas. With Universal Search, Hub users can now search across key Hub content from one familiar search bar.

Whether you are looking for product documentation, software releases, release notes, user guides, hardware specifications or knowledge base content, Universal Search brings results together in one place. Results are grouped by source, making it easier to understand what type of content you are viewing and where it comes from.

This means users can move from question to answer faster. A search for firmware compatibility, for example, can surface related documentation, software content and supporting resources without requiring the user to manually browse different areas of Hub.

Universal Search also respects user permissions, so customers only see the content they are authorised to access. This keeps the experience simple without compromising confidentiality or control.

A better way to access customer-specific software

We are also improving how selected software releases are delivered through Hub.

Some software is not intended for general availability. This can include beta builds, early access releases, customer-specific versions, or contractual software releases that should only be available to selected customer organisations.

Previously, these types of releases often required manual processes such as email, sFTP transfers or direct coordination with Appear teams. That could create delays, reduce visibility and make it harder for customers to know exactly what software was available to them.

With customer-specific software access in Hub, allocated software can now appear directly in the customer’s normal download experience. Customers can clearly see the software that has been made available to their organisation, alongside the releases they already access through Hub.

For customers, this means a more professional and transparent experience. For Appear teams, it creates a more scalable and auditable way to manage beta programmes, early access releases and customer-specific software obligations.

Why this matters

As Appear continues to expand across X Platform, X5, VX, XM and XC, customers need a Hub experience that scales with them. The more software, documentation and support content we make available, the more important it becomes to help users find the right resources quickly and access the right releases confidently.

Universal Search helps customers unlock the value of the content already available in Hub. Customer-specific software access helps ensure that the right software reaches the right customer through a controlled and transparent process.

Both features support the same goal: making Hub a more powerful, self-service destination for Appear customers.

What customers can do in Appear Hub now

Customers can use Universal Search to quickly find relevant Hub content from one place, and eligible customers will see customer-specific software releases directly in their Hub download experience when those releases are allocated to their organisation.

With these updates, Hub becomes easier to use, easier to trust, and better equipped to support the way Appear customers work.
