Throughout his career, Jo Christian has worked at the intersection of communication, media, finance, and business. Initially, he spent eight years as a journalist and head of the financial news room at Finansavisen, followed by 12 years as VP Head of Investor Relations (IR) at Schibsted ASA, where he also served as Board secretary. He has been a partner at Corporate Communications since 2019.

At Corporate Communications, Jo Christian is an advisor for Boards and executive management of a range of listed and private companies, focusing especially on optimizing their communication with and relationships to the financial market. This includes advise related to stock exchange rules and securities trading legislation. He has extensive experience from financial reporting, a significant number IPOs, organizing the IR function, private capital raisings, M&A, capital market days, shareholder activism, and financial PR. He also works as an outsourced IR officer for listed companies.
He holds a Bachelor degree in business from BI Norwegian Business School (“Siviløkonom”) and he is a certified financial analyst from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Per-Øyvind Stene
CFO

Stene began his career in finance in 2001 while completing his academic studies. In 2004, he joined Ringnes AS, where he held positions as Business Controller and Business Analyst until 2007. He subsequently served as Analyst at Coop Norge and later as Controller at Nille AS from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Stene held the position of Commercial Controller at Findus Norge AS.

Between 2014 and 2016, he was employed at DNO ASA, where he served as Corporate Financial Controller and Group Finance Manager. From 2018 to 2023, he was Chief Financial Officer at RSM Norge, followed by a tenure as Director at Deloitte until 2024. Stene joined Appear as Chief Financial Officer in January 2025.

Stene holds a Master of Science in Geomatics Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, completed in 1999, which included a year of study at the University of Calgary from 1996 to 1997. He also holds a Master of International Business with a specialization in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, completed in 2003.
